### Developers Plan Massive Mixed-Use Project in Hutto

Capland Development is in the early stages of planning a large-scale, 257-acre project in Hutto, known as **Gateway at Hutto**. The project is set to include a variety of residential and commercial components:

– **Multifamily Development:** 29 acres, 730 units
– **Townhomes:** 13 acres, 125 units
– **Single-Family Homes:** 68 acres, 285 homes
– **Mixed-Use Commercial Space:** 58 acres (660,000 square feet), incorporating office space, a hotel and conference center, as well as retail and other amenities
– **Open Space:** Nearly 74 acres, highlighted by a central lake

The project site is located at East Wilco Highway and County Road 137.

According to the *Austin Business Journal*, developers need to account for necessary infrastructure, including roads, water, and wastewater systems. Rialto Studio Inc. has been designated as the project’s land planner. While there is no confirmed timeline yet, much will depend on the approval of required permits.

Hutto, situated about 30 miles northeast of Austin, has been experiencing rapid growth, with the population nearing 40,000 residents.
