**Developer to Transform Former Braniff Airlines Building into Supportive Housing in Dallas**

Sycamore Strategies has secured a $7 million grant through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) from the City of Dallas to redevelop a historic Braniff Airlines property into supportive housing. The overall cost of the project is estimated at $32 million.

Located at 2801 Wycliff Avenue, the redevelopment will include 48 housing units for individuals and families earning up to 60% of the area median income (AMI). Formerly known as the Braniff Hostess College, the building was originally constructed in 1968 as a dormitory and training facility for flight attendants.

The transformed property will provide a range of community-focused amenities such as picnic areas, a movie theater, a pavilion with seating and outdoor fans, and on-site resident services. These services will include recreational programs, a food pantry, and an annual health fair.

Sycamore Strategies is partnering with AIDS Services of Dallas (ASD), a nonprofit dedicated to supporting low-income and homeless individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS. ASD will own and operate the new facility, furthering its mission to provide stable housing and supportive care in the city.

The building had once been considered for conversion into a 75-room luxury hotel, but the current plan focuses on meeting critical housing and community support needs in Dallas.
