**Avery Hall Proposes 263-Unit Apartment Development in Charlotte’s South End**
Avery Hall is moving forward with plans for a new 263-unit apartment complex at 2801 S. Tryon Street in Charlotte’s booming South End neighborhood. The project is currently under review for approval by Mecklenburg County and is expected to cost approximately $50 million, according to The Charlotte Business Journal.
The proposed development will span 418,230 square feet and feature a variety of upscale amenities. Plans include 1,200 square feet of ground-floor retail space, a two-level coworking café and lounge, a state-of-the-art fitness center with an outdoor fitness lawn, a fourth-floor pool courtyard, an eighth-floor sky lounge, and even a dedicated pickleball court.
Avery Hall purchased the 2.5-acre site for the project in August 2018, investing $8.7 million in the land.
This new venture follows Avery Hall’s recent delivery of One NoDa Park, a mixed-use project located at 110 E. 36th Street. The 383-unit residential development was a joint effort with Aria Development Group and Bridge Investment Group. The building will also house a Sprouts Farmers Market grocery store, which will occupy a 21,258-square-foot space on the main floor and is scheduled to open this summer. The firm assembled the NoDa property through two transactions between October 2020 and February 2021 at a combined cost of $13.2 million.
With its latest South End proposal, Avery Hall continues to expand its footprint in Charlotte’s rapidly developing urban neighborhoods.
