"Dermody Properties Purchases Land for Development Near Louisville Airport"

Dermody Properties has recently acquired a 21-acre property located in the west of Louisville’s Airport submarket. The company plans to redevelop the site and construct LogistiCenter at Airport West, a state-of-the-art logistics facility spanning over 342,720 square feet.

Construction for this project is set to begin in the fall and is expected to be completed by summer. Dermody Properties was represented by Kevin Grove and Alex Grove from CBRE during this transaction.

The location of this property offers easy access to major economic hubs such as UPS Worldport, Ford Louisville Assembly Plant, and GE Appliance Park. LogistiCenter at Airport West will feature modern amenities including a build-to-suit office space, high clear height of 36 feet, 40 dock doors along with two drive-in doors for efficient loading/unloading operations. Additionally, it will have ample parking space with room for up to 190 vehicles and an additional area designated for trailers. The facility will also be equipped with ESFR fire protection systems as well as energy-efficient LED lighting.

Tim Walsh , Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Dermody Properties expressed his enthusiasm about their latest acquisition stating that “This marks our seventh logistics development in the thriving Midwest market since we entered Louisville more than ten years ago.” He further added that they are committed towards investing in this region due its strategic location within the national supply chain network.
