Hillwood is making strides in the development of a vast, master-planned community known as Landmark in Denton. Spanning over 3,200 acres and featuring 6,000 homes upon completion, this project is set to become a prominent landmark in the area.
Apart from residential properties, Landmark will also boast more than 5 million square feet of commercial and mixed-use space along with over 3,000 multifamily units that will stretch for more than five miles along I-35W. The comprehensive plan integrates retail outlets, dining options, office spaces and entertainment venues alongside green spaces similar to those found at Parkside within Alliance Town Center.
Originally acquired by the Perot family back in 1987 as part of their land holdings portfolio; Pilot Knob stands out as one of its most notable features. As it happens to be the highest point within Denton city limits; Pilot Knob has been an important reference point for Indigenous peoples throughout history including frontier settlers and cattle drives – hence inspiring its name: Landmark.
The masterplan revolves around a unique ecosystem spread across an impressive expanse of approximately1 ,100 acres anchored by a sprawling entertainment district spanning some300 acres which includes Pilot Knob itself together with surrounding hills – all designed to offer visitors unparalleled experiences while preserving North Texas’ distinctive geology and ecology.
