"Decrease in DC Coworking Spaces by 4% in Third Quarter"

In the third quarter of 2023, the number of coworking spaces in the United States remained stable with a slight increase of 0.15%, according to CoworkingCafe’s latest report. Nationally, there were 6,172 flexible office venues compared to 6,163 in the previous quarter. Leading cities for coworking spaces include Manhattan with 270 locations and Los Angeles with 267 locations.

However, Washington D.C experienced a decrease of four percent from the second quarter while Manhattan saw an eleven percent decline. The median prices for coworking subscriptions in Washington D.C are below national average rates as reported by CoworkingCafe.

Virtual office subscriptions cost approximately $80 while open workspaces decreased from $225 to $200 and dedicated desks fell from $399 to $379 during Q3. In terms of square footage rankings across U.S cities, Washington D.C ranked third with over six million square feet available – representing an eight percent decrease since Q2.
