Decades-Old Charlotte Mill Recast as Office, Retail, and Housing Development

Developers across the nation are embracing a new trend of revitalizing and repurposing historic buildings, such as century-old flour mills and textile factories. In Charlotte, a 400,000-square-foot mill is currently undergoing an adaptive reuse project by The Keith Corp., with plans to welcome tenants in approximately one year.

Dubbed “The Thread,” this project has already secured its first tenant – Mayfair Hospitality – for 16,771 square feet of space that will feature a restaurant, bowling alley, mini golf course and live entertainment.
