Lyrik, the latest development from Samuels & Associates, has recently opened in Boston. This innovative project is reportedly the first air rights development to be built in decades. The initial retail tenant, a Rivian automotive showroom, and a 399-key hotel called citizenM are now open for business. Additionally, CarGurus – an online car marketplace – will become the anchor office tenant this fall according to reports by the Boston Business Journal.
With over 400,000 square feet of office and lab space available at Lyrik’s location above existing infrastructure and roadways in downtown Boston makes it one of the largest construction projects currently underway within Massachusetts as per research conducted by Business Journal.
Abe Menzin – Executive Vice President at Samuels & Associates – stated that during their planning process for this groundbreaking air rights project they recognized an opportunity to create a central hub for community gatherings. In addition to curating an ideal mix of retailers within Lyrik’s premises; Samuels also focused on enhancing pedestrian accessibility through street redesigns that would make it easier and more appealing for people traveling via foot or bicycle as well as those utilizing public transportation such as buses or subways around Lyrik’s vicinity.
