"DC Blox Building: $1.2B Data Center in Atlanta-Area"

DC BLOX, a leading data center developer, has commenced construction on a state-of-the-art data center campus in Douglasville, Georgia. The project is expected to require an investment of over $1.2 billion and will benefit from generous tax incentives provided by the town of Douglasville.

The campus will be connected to DC BLOX’s extensive 500-mile dark fiber route which links major communication hubs in Atlanta through Augusta and all the way to their Cable Landing Station in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This high-capacity East-to-West fiber path is scheduled for completion by Q4 2023.

Designed specifically for hyperscale needs, the two-story data center campus spans 55 acres and boasts twelve data halls with a total gross space of 750,000 square feet. The site has secured access to an impressive power supply of up to 180 MW with initial customer occupancy anticipated by Q3 2025.

DC BLOX has enlisted Evans General Contractors as their design-builder partner for this project along with other notable firms such as DLB Associates, Corgan Architects & Engineers Inc., Thomas & Hutton Engineering Co., and Bennett & Pless Inc.

This groundbreaking development marks another milestone achievement for DC BLOX as they continue expanding their presence within the Southeast region.
