DC BLOX, a leading data center provider, has recently acquired 72 acres of land in Conyers to develop a state-of-the-art hyperscale-ready data center campus. Located just 24 miles east of downtown Atlanta, this new campus will offer approximately 750,000 square feet of space and is expected to have a total power capacity of 216MW provided by Georgia Power. The company has invested $1.2 billion into another similarly sized data center in Lithia Springs on the west side of Atlanta.
The first phase of the project will be anchored by a hyperscale client and will provide an additional 160,000 square feet for other tenants. This space is expected to be available for occupancy in the fourth quarter of 2025.
In addition to the impressive facility itself, DC BLOX also plans to build a dark fiber ring around the greater Atlanta area as part their project. The development has been granted incentives from Rockdale County’s Development Authority through its agent CREDC (Conyers Rockdale Economic Development Council). DC BLOX’s design and construction partners include Evans General Contractors,DLB Associates,Corgan,Thompson & Hutton, and Bennett & Pless.
This announcement marks yet another milestone for DC BLOX as they continue their expansion efforts across key markets throughout Southeastern United States. The post highlights that Connect CRE does not mention “Connect” or “Connect LA” or “Connect Texas”.
