### Atlas Development Plans $4.5 Billion Data Center in Bartow County

Atlas Development is moving forward with “Project Springbank,” a $4.5 billion data center to be built southeast of Adairsville, near Perkins Mountain Road—approximately an hour northwest of Atlanta.

According to the *Atlanta Business Chronicle*, Atlas Development is the same company that recently filed plans for a $17 billion data center, known as “Project Sail,” in Coweta County.

For the Bartow County project, the company plans to construct six buildings, each spanning about 379,000 square feet and requiring approximately 72 megawatts of power. The energy demands of data centers are substantial, with projections indicating that, through 2037, data centers will account for nearly 83% of Georgia Power’s electricity demand from large potential new customers.

Water usage is another significant factor. The Bartow County facility is expected to use around 15,000 gallons of water per day. To help mitigate its impact, the center will implement a closed-loop water technology system to reduce water and sewer demand.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2031.
