Dallas High-Rise Construction: Woods Capital Planning Two Buildings

Woods Capital is looking to construct two high-rises in downtown Dallas: a 20-story residential tower and an office building of similar size. According to The Dallas Morning News, the cost for each structure will be $70 million. Last year, Woods acquired the land necessary for development with plans to complete construction by 2026.

The Ivy, the office tower located across from The English residential tower at 5115 McKinney Avenue off Central Expressway has received much attention recently due its location near numerous other highrises being developed in this corridor such as StreetLights Residential’s Galatyn apartment building and Houston developer Hines’ and Stockdale Investment Group’s two towers south of Knox Street.

Woods also made a notable acquisition last year when it purchased Comerica Bank Tower – a 60-story skyscraper which they plan on converting into hotel space as well as residences.
