Dale Development Announces Plans to Construct 375 Units in Amesbury

Dale Development has proposed a rezoning effort in Amesbury, Massachusetts to comply with the MBTA Communities law. The plan includes building 375 housing units on a 25-acre site known as the Golden Triangle, with up to 10% of units designated as income-restricted. Divided into north and south sections, the development will offer rental units in the north section and single-family and condo units in the south neighborhood.

Amesbury is classified as an adjacent community under MBTA Communities law due to its close proximity to Newburyport. As per this law, at least 789 new housing units must be allowed by Amesbury. To meet this requirement, three districts have been identified for new housing developments including the Golden Triangle Overlay District. By following suit of other rapid transit communities in Massachusetts, Amesbury must submit their rezoning plan by year-end.
