**Crystal Lagoon Opens at Sunterra Master-Planned Community in Katy**

Starwood Land has officially unveiled the Crystal Lagoon at its Sunterra master-planned development in Katy, Texas. The 2.7-acre man-made lagoon features striking turquoise waters, white sand beaches, and a scenic boardwalk. The Houston Business Journal reports that the project cost $40 million to construct.

The new lagoon, part of a larger amenity known as Sol Club, also includes a 10,000-square-foot clubhouse designed for resident use. Key features include a reception area, meeting rooms, multiple gathering spaces, and a spacious patio. Additional amenities comprise covered pickleball courts, sports fields, an event lawn, horseshoe pits, and a playground. Access to Sol Club is exclusive to Sunterra residents and their invited guests.

This marks Sunterra’s second major amenity addition. The community opened The Retreat last year, a $12 million amenity park featuring a lazy river, resort-style pool, splash pad, clubhouse, yoga studio, fitness center, open-air arcade, and a large playground.

Starwood Land continues to enhance the living experience at Sunterra with these high-quality recreational spaces, further cementing the community’s appeal to current and prospective residents.
