Crown Community Development: 760-Acre Master Plan Community

Crown Community Development (CCD) has officially submitted a land development application to the Village of Sugar Grove for The Grove, a 760-acre master-planned community located just 45 miles west of Chicago. This highly anticipated project will feature housing options, a vibrant town center, and over 200 acres of open space including parks and trails. Additionally, there will be public amenities and various commercial uses available.

In order to meet the needs of both the market and community, CCD is proposing Planned Development District zoning as part of their updated master plan for The Grove. This zoning will allow for flexibility in accommodating different types of uses.

The completion of this project is estimated to bring approximately 4,600 permanent jobs to the local economy. To further enhance its economic potential, the Village plans on establishing a Tax Increment Financing District with an expected term not exceeding 23 years.

This exciting development by Crown Community Development promises to be an exceptional addition to Sugar Grove’s landscape without compromising its natural beauty or disrupting its existing charm.
