CRG and Shapack Partners have officially closed on the site and secured full construction financing for Chapter Ann Arbor, a 19-story student housing high-rise located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The project will feature 183 units, offering a total of 625 beds geared towards students attending the University of Michigan.

Strategically located at 1201-1213 S. University Avenue, the property sits just one block from the University’s central campus. Construction is slated to begin in August 2025, with completion expected in time for the 2027-2028 academic year.

“Chapter Ann Arbor is a strategic addition to our national portfolio, addressing the growing demand for high-quality housing near top-tier universities,” said J.J. Smith, Executive Vice President and Partner at CRG.

Chapter Ann Arbor will offer a variety of fully furnished floor plans, including studio, two-, four-, and five-bedroom apartments.

Designed by Lamar Johnson Collaborative, an integrated architecture and design firm and subsidiary of CRG’s parent company, Clayco, the development will be built by Findorff, a construction company based in Madison, Wisconsin, serving as the general contractor.
