The groundbreaking ceremony for the new Hollywood Casino in Aurora, Illinois took place recently, marking the beginning of a $360 million development project. Mayor Richard Irvin and city officials joined PENN Entertainment, the parent company responsible for this venture, to commemorate its start on 20 acres near Chicago Premium Outlets.
Replacing the current riverboat casino on Fox River in downtown Aurora is a state-of-the-art facility that will feature 1,200 gaming positions and approximately 220 rooms.
