Crescent Adds Greensboro to BTR Portfolio

Crescent Communities is set to begin construction on their latest project, HARMON Jefferson Village, a 130-unit townhome community located at 1500 Highwoods Blvd in Greensboro. This will be Crescent’s first build-to-rent (BTR) development in the area, following their successful projects in Charlotte (see photo).

According to the Triad Business Journal, the project has an estimated cost of $50 million and is expected to be completed within a year. Construction duties will be handled by Copper Builders.

HARMON Jefferson Village will offer three and four-bedroom townhomes ranging from 1,650 to 2,165 square feet. The company estimates that rental rates will be significantly lower than monthly mortgage rates in Greensboro.

The community boasts several outdoor amenities including a pool with nearby pavilion and grilling area; an outdoor plaza with seating; and access to an existing walking trail and two ponds.

Since its establishment in 1963,Crescent has developed over86 multifamily communitiesand25 million square feet of commercial space across various markets.

This new addition marks another milestone for Crescent as they continue expanding their BTR portfolio into Greensboro.
