**Construction Begins on Heritage Park in Gilbert’s Heritage District**
Work has officially begun on Heritage Park, a transformative 10-acre development at the northern gateway of Gilbert’s Heritage District. This marks the launch of the first phase of a multi-use project that aims to blend dining, residential, and community-focused spaces in the heart of downtown Gilbert.
Led by developers Creation and Crescent Communities, Heritage Park will span an entire city block at the intersection of Gilbert Road and Juniper Avenue. Once complete, the initial phase will include approximately 47,000 square feet dedicated to retail and restaurant spaces; NOVEL Heritage Park, a 288-unit luxury multifamily community; more than 300 surface-level parking spaces; and a vibrant public square. The square will feature water elements, mature landscaping, public art installations, and walking and biking pathways to enhance connectivity and community interaction.
Flagship Restaurant Group is set to anchor the culinary scene at Heritage Park, having committed to 14,000 square feet to introduce three new restaurant concepts to the East Valley.
Future phases will introduce a 125-room hotel and office space, further cementing Heritage Park as a central hub for both residents and visitors.
Heritage Park is scheduled to open in phases, with the first components expected to debut in 2026. NOVEL Heritage Park, the residential segment, is projected to welcome residents in spring 2027. LGE Design Build is leading construction efforts for the project.
