Craft Beer Scene in Denver Booming: Local Businesses Thriving

Craft beer is a popular beverage in Colorado, home to the famous Coors Brewery. Great Divide Brewery & Roadhouse and New Terrain Brewing Company are two local brewers with ambitious plans.

Great Divide Brewery & Roadhouse will open its fifth location at 9899 Schwab Way in Denver. According to the Denver Business Journal, this 8,200-square-foot space will include a 1,300-square-foot patio and cost $5 million to build. It is expected to seat over 300 guests when it opens by year-end and employs 80 – 100 people.

New Terrain Brewing Co., based out of Golden Colorado has purchased its building at 16401 Table Mountain Parkway for $6 million after renting it previously. The brewhouse currently produces 30 barrels as well as 10 barrel batches for experimental beers while having a capacity for 12000 – 15000 barrels per year with 32 employees on staff.
