“Coyotes Consider Prime State Land for New Rink”

"Coyotes Consider Prime State Land for New Rink"

The Arizona Coyotes have recently made a significant move in their search for a permanent home. After playing at ASU’s hockey rink and then the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, the team has set its sights on state trust land near Loop 101 and Scottsdale Road. This prime location, appraised at $68.5 million, could potentially become the new site for an arena along with restaurants, retail shops, and offices.

According to reports from The Phoenix Business Journal , it seems that this land auction has been approved by the Arizona State Land Department. If all goes well for the Coyotes bid on this property, they will be able to bypass any potential roadblocks from city leaders or public referendums since it is already zoned as commercial mixed-use by Phoenix City Council.

This development marks an exciting step forward for both fans of hockey and those invested in real estate opportunities within Phoenix’s bustling market.
