Cousins Properties Constructing Office and Apartment Towers in South End Warehouse District

Cousins Properties is planning a 17-story office tower and 310-apartment building at 306 W. Tremont Ave. in Charlotte’s South End neighborhood, which was acquired late 2020 along with two additional warehouse sites located at 242 W. Tremont Ave. and 305 Doggett Street on 2.4 acres of land collectively containing warehouses currently present thereon . The office tower and residential building will be built over podium parking, connected by a pedestrian bridge creating the spanse called Tremont Alley that will be faced by ground floor retail space . Additionally , Cousins is also planning a 200,000-square-foot office building at 205 E Bland St., which currently stands as paid public parking lot; this planned structure includes retail space on the ground floor as well as onsite parking facilities .
