Cousins Properties Constructing Office and Apartment Towers in South End Warehouse District

Cousins Properties is planning a 17-story office tower and 310-apartment building at 306 W. Tremont Ave. in Charlotte’s South End neighborhood. In late 2020, Cousins acquired the property along with two additional warehouse sites located at 242 W. Tremont Ave., and 305 Doggett Street, which collectively sit on 2.4 acres of land. The office tower and residential building will be built over podium parking with decks connected by a pedestrian bridge that creates a pedestrian thoroughfare called Tremont Alley faced by ground floor retail space . Additionally , Cousins is also planning to build 200,000 square feet of office space on 205 E Bland St., currently occupied as public paid parking lot . This planned structure will include retail spaces on the ground floor as well as provide ample parking for its tenants .
