**Costco Expands in Phoenix Metro with $35 Million Land Investment for Business Centers**

Costco Wholesale Corp. has acquired two parcels of land in the Phoenix metro area for a combined $35 million as part of its expansion strategy to build new Costco Business Centers.

One of the recent purchases includes an 18.65-acre site in Chandler, acquired for $15.7 million. Plans are underway to build a new concept store at the intersection of Alma School and Pecos Road. Unlike traditional Costco Warehouses, Costco Business Centers cater primarily to small businesses, offering bulk products tailored for commercial needs. However, these centers remain accessible to all Costco members.

The company already operates a Costco Business Center near Indian School Road and Grand Avenue. Nationwide, Costco currently operates 26 Business Center locations across 14 states.

Earlier this year, in February, Costco also acquired $10 million worth of vacant land in Tolleson with plans to develop a new distribution center. The Phoenix metro area already hosts 20 traditional Costco warehouse stores, and this latest activity underscores the company’s ongoing investment in and commitment to the Arizona market.
