Cortland Expands Atlanta Apartment Portfolio

In Marietta, Georgia, Cortland has acquired the former Gardens at East Cobb apartment community from NALS Apartment Homes for $95.75 million. The 484-unit property was renamed Cortland Woodlands and marks another addition to their growing Atlanta portfolio.

According to the Atlanta Business Journal, NALS Apartment Homes previously purchased the community in 2005 for $36 million when it was known as N/A Foxwood 54.

Cortland originally focused on developing multifamily communities in Atlanta when they were founded in 2005. However, during the economic downturn of 2008, they shifted their focus to acquiring and renovating existing properties instead. By 2011, they had grown to own and manage over 5
