Cortland has expanded its presence in the Houston market with the acquisition of Wynnewood at Wortham, a 444-unit apartment community located in the heart of the Wortham neighborhood in suburban Harris County. The property will be rebranded as Cortland Wortham. This purchase marks the company’s third acquisition in the Houston area within the past year, bringing its local portfolio to 13 multifamily properties. Statewide, Cortland now manages nearly 22,000 units across 60 properties in Texas.

Wynnewood at Wortham features a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment homes. Residents have access to a variety of community amenities, including a clubhouse, leasing and business centers, fitness center, two swimming pools, two dog parks, a car wash station, and multiple outdoor grilling areas.

Cortland plans to undertake significant renovations to both the interiors of the apartment homes and the shared amenities. Upgrades will include new finishes and fixtures, as well as exterior improvements such as a fresh paint scheme, enhanced landscaping, and new roofs. The full renovation is expected to be completed within two years.
