Converting Historic Grant Building to Class-A Multifamily Property

Converting Historic Grant Building to Class-A Multifamily Property

Last week, a ground-breaking ceremony was held in Downtown Atlanta for the redevelopment of the historic Grant Building at 44 Broad Street NW. Constructed in 1898, this 10-story 125,000-square-foot building is one of the city’s oldest office buildings and also second oldest steel structure in the Southeast. It was acquired by a joint venture between Texas based Wolfe Investments and national redeveloper Bluelofts back in December 2022.

Once complete, this new project will feature 165 Class A multifamily units with amenities such as clubhouse with sports and gaming equipment; business center; fitness center featuring yoga studio along with various workout options; social space; retail tenants on ground level while second floor will be dedicated to office space. The property has been listed on National Register of Historic Places since 1979 due to its location within Fairlie Poplar Historic District.
