RD Management is transforming the former University Mall in Tampa into a hub for healthcare, science, and technology companies. According to Commercial Edge, RD has selected JLL’s Central Florida Healthcare Practice Group to lease the health-care, life science and office components of their 100-acre mixed-use development known as RITHM.
Upon completion, RITHM (short for Research Innovation Technology Humanity & Medicine) will span over 7 million square feet and include thousands of residential units. The project has already seen successful developments such as multifamily housing and a Sprouts Farmers Market grocery store which opened in August 2023.
Construction on an extended-stay Marriott hotel is set to begin this year along with the newly built University Square Drive extension that connects RITHM to the nearby USF campus.
