"Conversion of Wilmington Offices to Outpatient Care Center"

Flagship Healthcare Properties (Flagship) has recently acquired a Class A office building in Wilmington, North Carolina and plans to transform it into a premier healthcare destination for providers. The three-story, 153,526-square-foot property located at 3601 Converse Road was purchased for $21 million and was previously occupied by Verizon as a call center.

The company is currently in the process of repositioning the building into an outpatient healthcare campus. They have already secured lease commitments from Novant Health, who will begin occupying two floors of the newly branded Flagship Medical Plaza starting in 2025.

The former Verizon building will offer various services including an OB/GYN clinic and specialists in pulmonary medicine, pain management, endocrinology and rheumatology – specialties that can be challenging to recruit providers for. Additionally, there will be lab services such as radiology and pharmacy available on site along with infusion chairs.

This transformation of offices into an outpatient care center is set to bring much-needed medical resources to Wilmington residents while also revitalizing this once single-tenant office space.
