Birmingham-based Daniel Corporation has begun work on a $100 million upscale multifamily community on Savannah’s Hutchinson Island. The project is one of several in the area, as investment and development have increased after years of delayed projects.
The six-building community will be adjacent to the Westin Savannah Golf Resort and Spa with 288 units spread across four stories. Located across the river from historic downtown, Hutchinson Island offers views of saltwater pools from its outdoor lounge area featuring a fireplace and socializing/co-working space alongside its clubhouse and fitness studio. County records show that Daniel purchased the property for $1.25 million in October 2021, with construction now underway for expected delivery by early 2025; each apartment home comes complete with quartz countertops, custom cabinetry, designer lighting – all “smart” homes!
