**Buc-ee’s Breaks Ground on First Arizona Location in Goodyear**
A Buc-ee’s the size of a neighborhood supermarket has officially broken ground in Goodyear, Arizona. The 75,000-square-foot travel center will be located at 1001 N. Bullard Avenue and marks the Texas-based chain’s first entry into the state.
Best known for its Texas-style barbecue, homemade fudge, kolaches, Beaver Nuggets, jerky, and fresh pastries, Buc-ee’s is a one-of-a-kind roadside destination that attracts travelers with its extensive food and snack options. The new Goodyear location will offer thousands of meal and drink selections, as well as 120 fueling stations—emphasizing its reputation for convenience and efficiency.
Founded in Texas in 1982, Buc-ee’s currently operates 51 stores. Since launching its multi-state expansion in 2019, the company has opened travel centers in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri, and Colorado. In 2024, Buc-ee’s began construction on its first Virginia, Mississippi, and Ohio stores. Ground was also broken on its first Arkansas location in April 2025.
The Goodyear Buc-ee’s is expected to bring more than 200 full-time jobs to the area. These positions will offer starting pay well above minimum wage, comprehensive benefits, a 6% 401(k) match, and three weeks of paid vacation—underscoring Buc-ee’s commitment to competitive employment practices.
Construction is now underway, signaling a highly anticipated expansion of the beloved travel center into Arizona.
