**Construction Begins on $225M Mixed-Use Development in Gilbert**

Thompson Thrift has officially commenced construction on The Gilmore, a $225 million mixed-use development spanning 35 acres in Gilbert, a suburb of Phoenix, Arizona. The project will feature luxury apartments, a hotel, and approximately 200,000 square feet of space for grocery, boutique restaurants, and retail businesses.

The development is strategically located at the northwest corner of Val Vista Drive and Germann Road. More than 25 leases have already been signed, including a 64,000-square-foot Safeway grocery store. Retail openings are anticipated to begin in the second half of 2026, with residential move-ins expected in early 2027.

Later this year, Thompson Thrift will launch construction on the residential portion of the project, which will be called The Residences at The Gilmore. This component will comprise 300 apartment homes, including studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, with an average size of 1,000 square feet.

The Gilmore is part of Thompson Thrift’s broader expansion in the region, with seven projects currently underway in the Phoenix metro area.
