Lovett Industrial has recently acquired a 27-acre lot in northeast Durham for $16 million. The company, known for its industrial developments, plans to construct the Durham Logistics Center on this site. This new project will consist of a 350,000-square-foot building and is located near the Interstate 85/885 interchange.
The developer has already completed construction on a warehouse project in Charlotte and is now focused on developing the Durham Logistics Center. In order to make room for this new building, Lovett Industrial will demolish an existing class-C structure that currently sits on the property.
Once complete, the Durham Logistics Center will offer impressive features such as 36-foot clear heights, 84 dock-high doors, and an extensive truck court measuring at least185 feet deep. There are also plans to include ample trailer parking with space for up to86 trailers.
Construction has just begun and is expected to be finished by late fourth quarter of2025. Comerica Bank provided financing through a construction loan for this development.
