**Doraville City Center Construction to Kick Off This Summer**
Plans to create a walkable, vibrant downtown in Doraville have been in the works for over two decades—and now, those plans are finally moving forward. Master developer Kaufman Capital Partners, in collaboration with architect McMillan Pazdan Smith and contractor Choate Construction, is set to begin demolition of older city buildings to clear the way for a revitalized municipal core.
The project will introduce a new municipal complex, restaurant spaces, multifamily housing, and retail venues to the northeastern Atlanta suburb of approximately 10,000 residents.
“We’re creating a downtown that will transform the city’s core into a thriving, welcoming, and enduring destination,” said Doraville City Manager Chris Eldridge.
As part of the early stages of the development, city staff will relocate from their current offices to a nearby mixed-use project this summer. Those existing offices will then be demolished to make space for Phase I of the development. Phase II will follow with additional rental communities, retail shops, and dining establishments.
Covering 13 acres, the city center project is expected to keep development activity underway in Doraville for several years, laying the foundation for long-term growth and community engagement.
