**Doraville City Center Construction Set to Launch This Summer**
For more than two decades, city leaders in Doraville, Georgia, have envisioned a walkable and vibrant downtown district. That vision is now poised to become a reality, with construction set to begin this summer.
Master developer Kaufman Capital Partners, in collaboration with architecture firm McMillan Pazdan Smith and contractor Choate Construction, will soon commence demolition of outdated municipal buildings. The redevelopment will pave the way for a new city center that includes municipal spaces, restaurant sites, multifamily housing, and retail establishments.
Doraville City Manager Chris Eldridge expressed enthusiasm about the project, stating, “We’re creating a downtown that will transform the city’s core into a thriving, welcoming, and enduring destination.” Doraville, located northeast of Atlanta, is home to approximately 10,000 residents.
City staff are expected to vacate their current offices this summer and relocate to a nearby mixed-use development. Those offices will be demolished as part of Phase I construction, which focuses on municipal infrastructure. Phase II will introduce residential rental communities, retail shops, and dining options.
Spanning 13 acres, the Doraville City Center project is designed to stimulate growth and activity in the community over the coming years.
