Ovation Development Corp. is preparing to begin construction on Decatur Rome Senior Apartments, a new affordable housing community for seniors in Las Vegas. This development will consist of 276 units and will be exclusively available to those over the age of 55.
The community will offer a total of 180 units for seniors with an income below 49 percent of the area median income, as well as an additional 96 units for those earning less than 59 percent AMI. The project’s location at Northwest Las Vegas’ address, specifically at6635 N.Decatur Blvd., has been estimated by Commercial Edge to cost approximately $78 million and is being partially funded through Clark County Community Housing Funds and Nevada Housing Division’s Home Means Nevada Initiative.
This land was previously owned by the federal government but has since been allocated to the city of Las Vegas for affordable housing purposes. Ovation successfully secured this project through a competitive RFP process.
Decatur Rome Senior Apartments will consist of forty-two buildings featuring one- and two-bedroom floor plans upon its completion. Residents can look forward to amenities such as a fitness center, business center, laundry facilities, controlled access points,and around four hundred twenty parking spaces within this fully-affordable senior living community.
