"Construction Lab Established at Virginia Tech for Students"

Procon Consulting, a construction management firm with a focus on technology, has recently opened the Procon Innovation Center at Virginia Tech. This state-of-the-art facility is located in Hitt Hall on the university’s Blacksburg campus and provides students in the Myers-Lawson School of Construction and College of Engineering with hands-on learning opportunities and collaborative spaces.

The Procon Innovation Center offers cutting-edge resources such as robotics and 3D concrete printers to support large-scale student-led projects and experiential learning. Co-founders Mark Ilich and Kyu Jung both graduated from Virginia Tech, making this partnership even more meaningful for them. According to Jung, “The Procon Innovation Center will allow students to gain practical experience in shaping the future of the construction industry.” With their expertise in construction technology, Procon has successfully landed high-profile projects with organizations like NASA, National Park Service, and Architect of the Capitol.

This new lab at Virginia Tech demonstrates their commitment to providing students with valuable real-world experiences that will prepare them for successful careers in construction management.
