C.W. Driver Companies has commenced construction on a new student housing complex at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). The $55.7-million project is set to open in Fall 2025 and will feature two four-story buildings with a total of 198 beds. These buildings will include not only living spaces but also engagement areas, student lounges, and large-scale programming spaces.
The development, located at 17950 Lassen St., consists of Buildings #22 and #23 (as they will be referred to), covering an area of 60,290 square feet with approximately half dedicated to housing accommodations. Each residential floor in the buildings will offer dual occupancy rooms for students along with shared bathrooms for every four students and one suite-style living room per floor.
According to Brent Hughes, COO at C.W. Driver: “We are well-equipped to assist CSUN with this addition of student housing.” He further added that their extensive experience working on various school projects including the Freshman Student Housing building as well as the Student Recreation Center among others on CSUN’s campus makes them highly qualified for this undertaking.
This latest development marks another milestone in C.W.Driver’s portfolio which includes numerous successful projects across different universities and schools throughout their years in construction industry.
