"Condos to be Included in Hotel Construction by S. Florida Developer"

Mustang Properties had initially planned to build a 140-room hotel in Ft. Lauderdale, but their plans have changed. They now intend to reduce the number of hotel rooms to 81 and add 17 luxury condos, as well as two additional stories that will bring the total height of the building up to 12 stories.

Construction on The Whitfield Hotel began in 2022 at its location on a small plot of land measuring just under half an acre at1007 East Las Olas Blvd. However, work was halted when developers decided to revise their plans. Approval from the town’s planning board is now required before construction can continue.

The condos will range from standard sizes between1,500 and2,400 square feet with two larger penthouse options measuring5,500 and6 ,000 square feet respectively.The price per square foot for these units is set at $2 ,500.

Residents of the condominiums will have access to shared amenities with those staying in the hotel such as a large spa area,a rooftop pool,and rooftop café.However,the condo lobby will be separate from that used by hotel guests,and short-term rentals are not permitted.Stiles Construction has been chosen as contractor for this project.

A South Florida developer has announced changes for their upcoming project – originally planned as a Mustang Properties’ Ft.Lauderdale-based140-roomhotel,itwillnowincludeonly81roomsand17luxurycondos.Additionally,two more floorsarebeingaddedtoincreasethebuildingheightto12stories.Constructionbeganin2022atthe0 .45-acre site locatedat1007EastLasOlasBlvd,butworkhasbeenpausedwhilethedevelopersseekapprovalfromthetown’splanningboardtorevisedtheirplans .

Thesizeofthecondoswillvarybetween1 ,500and2400squarefeetwithtwopenthouseoptionsmeasuring5500andsquarefeetrepectively.Thepricepersquarefootforthesepropertiesis$2500.

Residentswillhaveaccesstoamenitiessharedwiththehotel,includingalargespa,aroofpool,andarooftopcafe.However,thecondolobbywillbeseparatefromthehotellobbyandshort-termrentalsarenotallowed.StilesConstructionhasbeenchosenasthecontractorfortheproject.
