Whale & Star Wynwood is developing a mixed-use development at 2215 NW 1st Place, which will include a new 214-key hotel called The Cloud One Hotel, as well as residential units, retail space, and a rooftop bar and restaurant. This eight-story project will cover half of a city block.
The hotel rooms for The Cloud One Hotel will be located on floors 3-5 while the remaining levels (6-8) will feature 87 residential units. Residents of these units will have access to services provided by The Cloud One Hotel. Additionally, the rooftop area will offer amenities such as a restaurant, bar and pool.
The current property on this site consists of commercial buildings spanning over 27,000 square feet which are set to be demolished under this proposal. Whale & Star Wynwood Owner LLC purchased the property in 2023 for $24 million.
New York-based HWKN and Miami-based ODP Architects are collaborating on the design for this project.
