Comstock and SCG Development have joined forces to create a joint venture for the development of an affordable housing project at 41 Maryland Avenue in Rockville, Maryland. The new property, named Momentum @ Rockville Station, will feature over 100 units of affordable housing and is conveniently located next to Metro’s Red Line station in Rockville. Mayor Monique Ashton expressed excitement about this partnership and the potential for creating safe and high-quality affordable housing that supports residents’ well-being.
The joint venture was made possible through Comstock’s subsidiary acquiring Comstock 41 in late 2023 for $1.5 million. According to Steven P. Wilson, President of SCG Development, Momentum @ Rockville Station is currently going through planning and entitlement stages before construction begins on this much-needed development that offers proximity to retail spaces, office buildings, and easy access to the nearby Metro station.
