A new self-storage development has been completed at 89 US 46 in Budd Lake, NJ by design firm Ware Malcomb. The four-building project, owned by Quinlan Development Group, LLC from New York City, spans over 95,200 square feet and is located about 45 miles west of NYC. Ware Malcomb provided architectural design services for the Class A facility which was originally intended as a speculative development.
According to Jon Anderson, regional director at Ware Malcomb: “The Budd Lake project was designed with the goal of maximizing rentable units.” Branded as Extra Space Storage and offering climate-controlled options across its 761 units spread out among the four buildings. One building even includes an interior loading dock for easy access for box trucks to load/unload directly.
Other notable features of this project include direct unit lighting and hydraulic elevators strategically placed throughout the location. General contracting services were handled by Gerard Construction.
