The Lone Star Logistics Center, located north of State Highway 130 and Farm to Market Road 2001, is close to completing a new cold storage facility. Developed by Related, the project spans over 173 acres and consists of twelve purpose-built buildings.
Leasing for the center is being handled by Davis Bass and Brooks Benkendorfer from HPI Real Estate Services & Investments. The first building in the complex, known as RealCold, is set to be delivered in early next year with a total size of 310,000 square feet. According to sources at Austin Business Journal , it may take up to two years for the entire building to be occupied before plans are made for an additional expansion of 147,000 square feet.
RealCold has received incentives from both RealCold and Related Fund Management for this project. In addition,the Caldwell County Commissioners Court has agreed on providing an annual grant based on a percentage of property taxes paid by the company.
