"Collaborative Efforts for the Creation of a Mixed-Use Project in Georgetown"

The first phase of construction has begun for The Commons at River, a mixed-use development located in Georgetown near Williams Drive. This project will include a plaza, an apartment complex, service-based companies, retail space and restaurants.

According to Community Impact, the developer started working on the below-ground civil infrastructure in September 2023. Construction on a 15,000-square-foot building began about one year later and half of it has already been pre-leased. Two additional retail buildings within The Commons at River are expected to be approximately 9,600 square feet.

Partners Development Co., the development branch of Partners Real Estate is leading this project.

In 2021 Partners purchased the site for $4.5 million which was previously occupied by Raye McCoy Elementary School. In 2022,the city of Georgetown approved this mixed-use project for development.

After completion of this project,a future development is planned for a neighboring site measuring at1 .28 acres.

Partners Real Estate’s subsidiary Headwater and Partners Development Co.are currently developing The Commons at River,a mixed-use complex situated in Georgetown along Williams Drive.Construction work commenced with Phase I focusing on underground civil infrastructure back in September 2023.A year later,the team began constructing an estimated15 ,000-square-foot structure that has already secured half its occupancy.Two more commercial buildings spanning around9 ,600 square feet each are also part of this venture.Community Impact reports that these developments have been undertaken by Headwater alongside their parent company,Parners Real Estate who acquiredthe property worth $4 .5 million from Raye McCoy Elementary School.The City Council gave approvalforthis multi-purpose establishmentin early2012.Once completed,this expansive plot will reservea separate area measuring up to1 .28 acres as potential landfor future projects adjacenttoTheCommonsatRiver.This latest update was reportedby Connect CRE
