Clay Development & Construction Inc. has officially broken ground on Mustang Ridge Distribution Center I, a 538,720-square-foot speculative industrial facility. The project, located at 6925 FM 1327, is scheduled for completion in late 2025.

According to Community Impact, the facility is currently the largest speculative industrial development under construction within the Greater Austin market.

“Suppliers for Tesla, Samsung, Applied Materials and other advanced technology businesses are looking for large, cross-dock facilities,” said Robert Clay, president of Clay Development & Construction. “In the past, these users have had no alternative but to invest in a build-to-suit facility. Mustang Ridge Distribution Center I offers the choice of a spec building, close to Austin’s core industrial submarkets.”

Headquartered in Houston, Clay Development & Construction specializes in commercial real estate, with a focus on industrial build-to-suit facilities available for lease or sale. Since its founding in 1988, the company has delivered over 24 million square feet of industrial and office space — approximately equivalent to 417 football fields.
