Cityview, a leading multifamily investment management and development company, has announced the name of its newest project in Oakland’s Opportunity Zone: Portico. The 378-unit development is set to be completed this month and will meet LEED Silver standards. Located within the master-planned community of Brooklyn Basin, Portico offers a prime waterfront location with easy access to all that the area has to offer.
The eight-story building will feature a mix of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments as well as townhomes. With over 80% of units overlooking the water, residents can enjoy stunning views from their homes.
“Portico is an exceptional addition to our portfolio,” stated Cityview CEO Sean Burton. “Our vertically integrated platform and extensive experience in developing Opportunity Zones have allowed us to bring nearly 400 new housing units to the Bay Area.” Cityview partnered with general contractors James E. Roberts Obayashi and Webcor, architecture firm AC Martin, and interior design firm Nadia Geller Designs for this project located at 37 Eighth Avenue.
This latest announcement from Cityview showcases their commitment towards providing high-quality housing options in desirable locations while also contributing positively towards sustainable development through LEED certification.
