Cityview Unveils Multifamily Project in Oakland's Opportunity Zone

Cityview, a leading multifamily investment management and development firm, has announced the name of its latest project in Oakland’s Opportunity Zone: Portico. The 378-unit development is set to be completed this month and will meet LEED Silver standards. Located within Brooklyn Basin’s master-planned community, the eight-story building will offer a variety of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments as well as townhomes. With over 80% of units featuring waterfront views, Portico promises to provide residents with an exceptional living experience.

According to Cityview CEO Sean Burton, “Portico boasts a prime waterfront location in the rapidly growing Brooklyn Basin community and offers top-notch amenities along with convenient access to all that this area has to offer.” He also added that their vertically integrated platform and extensive experience developing in Opportunity Zones have enabled them to bring nearly 400 additional housing units into the Bay Area.

The project was made possible through partnerships with general contractors James E. Roberts Obayashi and Webcor Construction LP., architecture firm AC Martin ,and interior design firm Nadia Geller Designs . It is situated at 37 Eighth Avenue.
