CHRISTUS Health has acquired CardiaStream (Cardiovascular Associates of East Texas) to form the largest cardiology group in East Texas. This merger joins CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic Cardiology, forming the CHRISTUS Heart and Vascular Institute. The Dallas Business Journal reports that talks between the two entities have been ongoing for two years.
The acquisition adds 12 CardiaStream locations across East Texas to CHRISTUS Health’s portfolio, including Athens, Canton, Crockett, Henderson and Jacksonville. This partnership provides access to more than 70 cardiovascular specialists throughout Northeast Texas with an outpatient cath lab and 14 trained clinician specialists available as well.
Founded in 1999, CHRISTUS Health operates over 600 facilities worldwide such as long-term care centers community hospitals walk-in clinics and health ministries; however terms of this deal were not disclosed publicly at this time .
