On Tuesday, Tishman Speyer announced that Christie’s has renewed its lease at 20 Rockefeller Center for another 25 years. The renowned art and luxury company has been a tenant since 1997, utilizing nearly 400,000 square feet of space for salerooms, public galleries, warehouses and offices.
This lease extension coincides with the final stages of Tishman Speyer’s redevelopment project at Rockefeller Center which is set to be completed by late 2024. According to CEO Rob Speyer,”Rockefeller Center and Christie’s are both iconic symbols of New York City.” He also added that this decision by Christie’s further confirms the success of their efforts in revitalizing the center.
CBRE representatives Mary Ann Tighe,Ramneek Rikhy,Cara Chayet,and Courtney Hughson along with Jen Yashar and Danielle Frank from Fried Frank represented Christie’s in leasing negotiations while EB Kelly led the team from Tishman Speyer. Blythe Kinsler handled negotiations in-house while Charlie Mileski from Davis & Gilbert provided additional representation for Tishman Speyer.
