Childress Klein has acquired Esplanade at Southpark in Charlotte for $31 million. CBRE’s Patrick Gildea, Rob Hardaway, Grayson Hawkins and Matt Smith brokered the transaction. LRC Properties and joint venture partner Highbrook Capital Management had purchased the 202,000-square-foot four-story tower at 2101 Rexford Road for more than $25 million in 2014. Tenants include Ally Financial, Experian Americas and Lowery Insurance.

The Class B building was constructed on more than 10 acres in 1981 with a neighboring five-story 73,416 square foot building located at 2115 Rexford Road also included as part of Childress Klein’s portfolio. Scott Wilson from Childress Klein Division Partner Office expressed excitement about extending their joint venture relationship with Gottesman into the SouthPark submarket through this acquisition: “We look forward to a long term investment in this vibrant and attractive submarket.”
